- First off - and this is old news, so you might all already know, but anyway - Simon announced his 2012 tour, called 'Numb'. Tickets can be bought here (they did go on sale a while ago, so I hope you haven't missed out - I bought mine on the first day for fear I wouldn't get one). Apparently he is also going to Australia. I am so excited about this.
- Secondly - the second series of 'Grandma's House' has finished filming and is to be shown on TV next year. I honestly didn't think this was going to get a second series, for the reason that things I love always seem to get cancelled, so I'm ridiculously pleased about this.
- Third - Simon features quite a bit in Alan Yentob's 'Imagine; The Art of Stand-Up'. It's pretty interesting even without Simon's bits, but his interview is lovely, and it's fairly obvious that out of all the comedians featured, Alan Yentob respects Simon's work the most, which is nice. If you're in the UK, you can catch up on the iplayer here. If you're not in the UK, I'm sorry (although I am in the middle of transcribing Simon's bits (with screencaps!) so if you want them just shout). Part Two is on tonight.
- Also: 'Do Nothing' is being shown on BBC3 on Thursday evening at 10.30pm. Even though I own the DVD and have seen it multiple times, I'll still be watching. Intelligent comedy at it's best.
i) The second series of 'Grandma's House' has started filming! This blog entry is written by a man whose mum owns the house that is being used as 'grandma's house'. He's not too complimentary about the series, but whatever - not only is there a picture of Mr Amstell, but it's also good to hear things are moving! :D
ii) Remember that film Simon's in, 'Black Pond'? It's got picked up to be shown at the Raindance Film Festival in a week or two. The festival promotes independant British films. The page for the film at the festival can be found here - it's got showing times and ticket sales. If I were nearby, I'd definitely be going.
more here. + doctor who, torchwood, supernatural, white collar & noel fielding icons!
'Black Pond' - starring Chris Langham and Simon Amstell, from 'The Independant', 10.04.2011
Jokes, I thought; surely not. But then:
Thoughts? Opinions? Squee?
ETA: the official website for the film is here: blackpondfilm.com
I came across these photos of Simon the other day; apparently they're all from a shoot by the photographer Pal Hansen for Times UK last November. Sadly, they're covered in watermarks, and I can't find any more info - was there an interview too?
So, hence the request: does anyone have a copy of the photos (without the watermarks), or any more info?
Thanks in advance. :-)
Samples of the loveliness:
(I'm quite new here, so hello everyone!)
Just in case anyone is interested, Simon is being interviewed by Kirsty Lang on BBC Radio 4's 'Front Row' tonight (2nd December) at about 19.15.
Sounds like it should be quite a nice listen, no? :-)

Anyway, I was just wondering, cause there aren't so many helpful tags in this comm haha, has anyone made screencaps? And I mean of ANY episode at all, of Buzzocks or Grandma's House. I'm desperate to make icons, but there's no resources for me *sob*.
